Born in Ottawa, Michel Thérien devotes his time to writing and promoting poetry. Some of his books have been translated into English and Spanish, others have been staged or set to music. He is involved in several initiatives promoting poetry and the French language here in Europe and Africa. Recently, he was Writer in Residence at the University of Ottawa. His books have received several awards and recognitions.
